Kicking off this week, the Westport Downtown Merchants Association will highlight many amazing shops and businesses in town on their social media channels. The program, entitled ‘Downtown Westport Insider’ will give followers an inside scoop into these brands and their owner’s perspective on owning a company in this community.
With many retail spaces to rent in Westport, it is exciting that a Leifer Properties tenant will be featured as the series initial post. West, a fashion boutique inspired by a west coast vibe, is set to dish on their experience in Westport. Kitt Shapiro will share her thoughts on leasing property in Westport with Leifer Properties. “I was inspired by what Laura Maged, founder and original owner, created with West. I knew when she decided to move to California, that I didn’t want to see this boutique leave Westport. Then, what I found when I decided to take over was that our landlord, Roger Leifer (of Leifer Properties), also wants to see these small businesses succeed, and to see the town succeed. He wants to be a part of that success, and because of that he has been great to work with.”
